What we aim to achieve
As an international youth-run organisation, the THIMUN Youth Network comprises members of a wide range or experience, both personal and professional, heritage, culture and talent. Attending international conferences allows TYN to connect directly with active youth, such as those comprising Youth Caucuses, and facilitate them in achieving their aims.
Objectives of International Delegations
- Provide youth with the opportunity to experience and develop an understanding of international politics and the inner workings of the UN
- Educate youth on conference specific themes and topics, while encouraging a comprehensive and outcome-oriented understanding of international discourse
- Strengthen youth representation at international forums and impact on outcomes by assisting and facilitating youth caucuses, and by any other appropriate means
- Bring together youth, other stakeholders, experts and diplomats to encourage information sharing and further strengthen the role of the youth as a major stakeholder and active partner
- Connect active youth from around the world to establish and foster partnerships for collaboration
