It is a chance to assess where we are, evaluate recent scientific developments and lessons learnt, and collectively chart a course forward.’ – AIDS2010
The International AIDS Conference is a unique opportunity to gain experience, knowledge and a true understanding of the multifaceted issue of HIV/AIDS. The THIMUN Youth Network is eager to send a delegation of enthusiastic youth in order to gain such experience, work with the Vienna Youth Force and network.
You must be between the ages of 18 and 25 on 18th December 2009 in order to apply to be part of the TYN delegation to the XVIII International AIDS Conference. Please note that the registration age limit of 18+ is set by the conference organisers, not by TYN. Travel Arrangements and Expenses
Each participant will be responsible of their own travel arrangements and expenses.
There is a registration fee of EUR 115 or 175 (depending on your nationality) for the XVIII International AIDS Conference.
There is a scholarship programme available. Delegates are responsible for applying for scholarships themselves.
Visa Arrangements for Austria
Each member of the delegation will be responsible for making his/her own visa arrangements. TYN will do its best in sending the necessary documents from our side.

Requirements for Applying
No particular previous experience is required to apply for this delegation. Attendance to at least one TYA session is suggested.
All members of the delegation are expected to engage in a preparation phase, over e-mail, to plan the delegation’s involvement in the Conference.

The application deadline is 18th December. If you require an extension, please contact us, however, late applicants will not be eligible to apply for participation in Vienna YouthForce subcommittees.
