So, you’re interested in our activites and want to join the Network, where should you start? We offer many ways to get involved in our work and generally, the THIMUN Youth Network does not require prior experience or expert knowledge to participate in our activities. 
THIMUN Youth Assembly
Most interested people first attend a session of the Youth Assembly. This is an optimal starting point to get to know our projects and way of working. The Youth Assembly takes place in The Hague, The Netherlands in January.
You will be able to rank the committees available that session in order of your preference, and when we consider your application we will do our best to place you in the committee that fits you best.
During the online preparation phase (which begins approximately two months prior to the conference) your committee coordinators will contact you and guide you along with all the other participants to get you to know your committee issue and coworkers.
Summer Symposium
The Summer Symposium is another gateway to the work of TYN. The Symposium lectures and workshops on international politics and NGO workings will fuel your appetite to become active in the world of diplomacy and conferences.
Here, you can gain knowledge and skills, which will help you during your further involvement in both TYN programmes and also potentially in your future career and future ventures.
Many participants who first come to the Symposium also choose to later apply to the Youth Assembly, which takes place in January; the Symposium is not only an event to develop skills and knowledge, but also to network and get to know other active youth.
International Conferences
To be part of a TYN delegation, you are not required to have participated in TYA but participation in at least one THIMUN Youth Assembly or other THIMUN Youth Network activities is suggested. If you are able to participate in a TYN activity, you will be more familiar with our working methods and the organisation itself to represent TYN to current and potential international contacts.
